The challenge of this project was that although the space was large and copious, there was a need to open up the master bedroom and kitchen. In response to this, a glass bathroom was introduced into the master bedroom to throw the space open. The kitchen extends outwards toward the yard, which subsumes into the space, freeing space up for a bar as a buffer from the dining area. Hidden doors in clean interior space is the methodology used to create “enclosed openness” in this home.
