The power district is sited by the sea and flanked by embankments that are deliberately cuts made on the hillsides for the construction of the power station and its ancillary structures.

Dealing with a 15a site with heritage buildings would be difficult without careful planning. We therefore divided the site into 5 enclaves with differentiated characters, each with transition zones in between. In the forms of berms, courtyards and linear parks, offering new discoveries and surprises as one moves from one enclave to another. These 5 enclaves are mainly the residential, hotel, co-work, museum, and seafront enclave.

In essence, we feel that we need to keep this place open to the public for all to enjoy. Our instinctive reaction was to maintain the existing building’s authenticity and while allowing the general public to appreciate its grandeur from every angle. Offering some authentic yet refreshing to the place.
