Lorong Stangee

This abode acts as an artist’s respite and workspace at the same time. The four stores are separated distinctly accordingly as such The Plinth: ground floor; the first storeys boast high ceilings to accommodate for artworks and socialising. The mezzanine library overlook into a the studio, which leads into a sub-basement space. The second storey is the main living and space that is thrown open to maximise natural ventilation and light, the negative space elegantly separates the weighty ground floor and the private third storey, The Canvas. The third storey is the oasis of respite from the homeowners, where the bedrooms are lit with the light that comes from the facade “fabric” and the sky light above. Lastly, the Plane is the zen attic constructed from timber to add a touch of warmth.
