PASIR PANJANG, SINGAPORE
The owners were initially looking for a chic and minimalist hotel look. Given that the lower level of the penthouse was small compared to older resale apartments, the owners were convinced that subsuming one of the bedrooms on that level to the living space was a natural decision to take to open up the space better.
Being well-travelled with a good understanding for well-designed furniture was also a plus. The brief therefore was to provide a interior that provides a subtle backdrop to their much-desired furniture pieces. We then took this as an opportunity to enhance that minimalist look with the use of fine and thin wood elements to make the space feel lighter.
